The independent candidate Grace Ankunda Bwesigye, for the Kabale District Woman MP seat, has called on voters to reject the practice of selling their votes and instead make informed choices based on candidates’ manifestos.

Speaking on Tuesday during the fifth day of her campaign trail,Ankunda addressed a large gathering of supporters at Nyakihanda Stage in Kahugye Parish, Ndorwa West County.

Grace Ankunda Bwesigye urged residents not to be swayed by money but to freely accept any handouts while ultimately voting according to their conscience and the developmental agenda of their preferred candidate.

She further encouraged voters to rise above politics driven by religion and tribal affiliations, noting that such divisions hinder progress.

"I want to emphasise the need for leaders who present clear and practical manifestos capable of transforming communities.My own manifesto is focused on extending electricity to all parts of Kahugye, improve education and health services, rehabilitate road infrastructure, as well as ensure access to clean and safe water once elected."Ankunda highlighted.

Ankunda also highlighted challenges faced during her campaigns, including the tearing down of her posters by unidentified individuals.

Grace Ankunda Beesigye still continues with her campaigns in Kahungye sub- county for Kabale district.
